Hey,
I'm Trond.
"Trond Kilian Meyer"
I am a passionate photographer who captures the adventures that are waiting to get explored by us. With my personal feeling for the right timing and the right composition I make you re-living the moment I was in when I took the shot. With showcasing the photos I want to show you why it is worth to protect and safe the nature and its wildlife! My photos will motivate you to go out and explore the world full of adventures and wildlife! Especially when you are physically or mentally not able to, for example, hike to those stunning spots… i want to give you the opportunity to live the moment through the screen.
My Story.
And how I got into photography.
I wasn't there where I am today and that is pretty normal... but where was I when I decided to become a photographer?
Well, I was in school. Sounds boring, I agree but if I wouldn't been in school to that time I would still work at a place that I don't like as much as the nature. I was bored of just sitting in a classroom and having the same routine day after day. I just wanted to go out, explore the world, the different cultures and learn as much as I can about animals in their natural environment.
Photography wasn't new to me at that time! I had quite a bit experience using a camera. When I was about 10-11 years old I got my first compact camera for my birthday and I was very excited even if I haven't used it that much. Even if I wasn't taking a lot of photos I was very interested in photos and there was this friend of my family who is a hobby photographer. So I would always look through his gallery and asked question about the pictures to try to understand more about what was happening behind the camera and before the shots. At the age of 13-14 I borrowed a Sony A77 from my cousin and started shooting in my garden, at family parties, in the forest etc.
So basically just the basics when you first get a camera. But then I went on bigger trips to Berlin to try street photography but to be honest it wasn't really something for me. So I spent more time at home in my little DIY studio... but even that wasn't satisfying enough. That brought me outside again, I spent way more time in the forest and in my backyard spending time watching animals that are minding their business and enjoying the fresh air.
And now I am here and excited to see the real world. I am old enough to drive a car, explore different countries, go on crazy adventures and all that together with my camera!
What can I say?
It is truly a dream!
